[From Stephen Trew] Microsoft seems to certainly moving to the subscription model for Windows and Office. I was in Curry’s yesterday checking out Office 2013 and the £80 annual subscription is not bad. It includes all the Office apps, plus Publisher which would cost about £390 for the regular version. The subscription covers 5 machines in the same household and is for Mac and PC, so if you have a mixed computing environment like we do in my house, it would be pretty cost effective. I do think Microsoft software is overpriced compared to Office software from Apple for instance, but if you need MS Office it worth looking at. Read more on this story here.
